Upcoming Events

ELM meets Monday evenings at 5pm for a home cooked meal and christian community for all college students. 

 

Al-Anon meets on Monday's at 7:00pm.

 

Men's Group: Meets on Friday afternoons at noon.  All men are invited to attend.

 

Meet the Pastoral Candidate: The Call Committee has invited candidate Reverend Arianna Arends to visit with us for your consideration as our new permanent pastor.  Reverend Arends and her family will be in town Saturday, January 27 through Monday, January 29.  A potluck meet and greet will take place on Sunday, January 28 following the worship service.

If you would like to bring a dish to pass, please see the sign up sheet in the narthex. 


Souper Bowl of Caring:  After worship on Sunday, Feb. 4, our youth invite you to enjoy a soup and bread lunch.  In return, they ask for a donation of canned food or cash to benefit people in need.  Half the canned goods will to to Emmanuel's Community Pantry and half will go to the Cheney Food Bank.  All money will be sent to LCS new Unaccopanied Refugee Minor Program (URMP).


Pastoral Call - Congregational Vote Sunday Feb. 4: There will  be a special congregational meeting following worship on Feb. 4th to vote on whether to extend a Pastoral Call to Pastor Arends.


9th Annual Festival of Chocolate:  Please plan to attend Emmanuel's "Festival of Chocolate" on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 6:30-8:00 pm.  There will be activities for children, door prizes, and all the chocolate you can eat!  A good will offering will be taken at the door and all proceeds will go to Emmanuel's Vacation Bible Camp fund.  Needed for this event are:

1) Donations of store bought or home made chocolate treats. 

2) Volunteers for various positions, please contact the church office for more info.


Emmanuel's Free Community Pantry:  The pantry accomodates non-perishable food for all ages, and personal care items stocked by the community and the congregation.  Everyone is invited to take what you need and leave what you can!

 

Emmanuel's Free Little Library:  All are welcome to take a book and leave a book!
